Sin is when a person misses the mark of God (Jesus Christ is the only standard of righteousness). Sin is when a person falls short of God's glory (rebellion against God and His standard of righteousness).

B. GOD HAS PROVIDED FOR MANKIND'S SIN PROBLEM : A SAVIOR (JESUS CHRIST)

Romans 4:25
who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:23b
but the gift of God is eternal life Christ in Jesus our Lord

I Corinthians 15:1-11
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,

by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain.

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,

and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.

After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep.

After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.

Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.

For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, He was buried, He rose again the third day according to the scriptures, and He appeared.

Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the only provision for sin?

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Acts 4:12
Nor is there salvation inany other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

C.MANKIND HAS A PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY TO BELIEVE IN GOD: SURRENDER

Romans 10:9-10,13
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.

Acts 3:19
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

Admit
Admit that you are a sinner, and in need
of salvation from sin.

Believe
Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of
God , and that He is the only way to obtain
salvation - to get to heaven.

Confess
Confess your sin. This means to admit
your sin.
